A word about customs: Original
works of art are duty free in the United States. Art is NOT Duty free or VAT free in many other countries.
This must be considered upon shipment, because if / when the
items come back to you,
your country MAY assess VAT or Duty upon the shipment return if you have not taken the proper
steps to pre-register your shipment with your customs office prior to original US export, or obtaining VAT relief using your
assigned VAT registration number.
IMPORTANT:
REGARDLESS OF YOUR CHOICE CARRIER,
YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE THE PROPER STEPS TO REGISTER YOUR SHIPMENT WITH YOUR LOCAL
CUSTOMS OFFICE PRIOR TO
THE ORIGINAL U.S. EXPORT IN ORDER TO AVOID VAT OR DUTY AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE EXHIBITION,
IF THE ITEMS ARE TO BE RETURNED TO YOU. THIS CANNOT BE DONE AFTER THE ITEMS HAVE ALREADY SHIPPED TO U.S.
IF YOU DO NOT REGISTER YOUR ITEMS PRIOR TO LEAVING YOUR COUNTRY, AT CONCLUSION OF THE EXHIBITION & RE-SHIPMENT BACK
TO YOU,
YOUR ITEMS WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE PREVAILING RATE OF DUTY OR VAT TAXES.
You will be responsible to prepare the commercial invoice and pre-register the shipment
with your local customs prior to initial export.
