International Contemporary Masters (ICM) Vol. 5 Exhibition 2012

The Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art will present an exhibition of art by artists whose work(s) appear in the book International Contemporary Masters Vol. V.

The Exhibit: ICM V 2012,  MARCH 10  thru JUNE 2, 2012

Opening Reception: Saturday, MARCH 10; 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

The artwork(s) you submit should be those that appeared in the 2012 book, or similar, if the exact piece(s) are not available.
Each artist is limited to  a maximum of 3 works. Despina Tunberg is the curator of these exhibitions, so if the works in the book are not available, she will select others.

All works must be original.  No Giclees Please.

Sizes: Paintings no larger than 48” by 60”(120 x 150 cm);
Sculpture not to exceed 60” x 48” ( 150 x 120 cm.); Max. weight 90 lb. (40 kilos).

Art must be properly labeled on the back of each work. Artist name, title of work, medium and selling price in U.S. Dollars. 
All work must be prepared for hanging and suitably framed or otherwise presentable for exhibit.

Donation:
A donation per piece - ( in U.S. Dollars) Maximum of three works
(one work $150, 2 works $300, 3 works $350)
Note: a diptych is considered 2 works, a triptych is considered 3 works.
The donation is used to support the Museum’s operating expenses related to these shows.
Donation includes handling costs (unpacking/repacking). Donations must be received prior to you shippng art.

Artists will be responsible for their shipping costs TO and FROM the Museum.

Payment Deadline for ICM V 2012 is January 30, 2012. Payment should be made out to Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art

Deadlines for Shipment of Art:
Art for the Exhibit should be scheduled to arrive BETWEEN Feb 10 and March 1, 2012.

SHIPPING INFORMATION: Shipping of Art Work
The Museum has contracted with a person on premises to accept and handle the art shipments for the Exhibits.
You may use any shipper you wish to use.
Be sure that you (and your shipper) comply with the export and import regulations of your country.
Your shipper should know what to do.
Failure to comply with the regulations may result in delays or complications.
Ship your art work to the Museum address below:

After you have contracted with your shipper/carrier please notify the Museum by email of the Carrier's name and tracking information.

Please ensure that your packing material is reusable, as it will be used for the return of your artwork.

Sale of Art Work:
The Museum can make arrangements for the sale of art to interested collectors and Museum visitors.
All sales must go through the Museum Gift Store in US Dollars. A 30% commission on all sales will be collected by the Museum.
Artwork must remain on display until the exhibition is over.  Artists will receive the 70% balance 30 days after the close of the exhibition.
Please include the price you wish to sell your work for in U.S. Dollars.

Insurance:
The artist will be responsible for the shipping and insurance expenses related to their work(s), both to and from the Museum.
The Museum will be responsible for insuring the artwork against any damage incurred while under Museum care.
A Museum designated appraiser will determine the value. 

Final Deadline for Payment for the Exhibit is February 10, 2012

NOTE: Storage Fees; Art work will be held for sixty (60) days beyond the closing of the Exhibition (June 2, 2012) 

Then beginning August 1, 2012 a forty dollar ($40) monthly storage fee will be assessed.

There are two main venues in Las Vegas; Casino Hotels onThe Strip – a 5 mile stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard
from the Mandalay Bay on the south end to the Stratosphere Hotel Casino on the north end of the Strip.
The other Hotel venue is the downtown, a few miles north of the Stratosphere,
centered around the Fremont St. Experience.
The Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art is located on the second level of the Neonopolis.

The Museum does not handle hotel accommodations, however,
please notify the Museum if you are attending the opening night so we may include you in the opening ceremony.
