Artist Guidelines for International Contemporary Masters (ICM) Exhibitions

The Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art will present exhibitions of art by artists whose work(s)
appear in the International Contemporary Masters 2010 book.
Due to the large number of participants
the 2010 exhibit is being divided into two separate shows.
The Second Exhibit, ICM 2010, will be held from
April 17, 2010 through
June 5, 2010.
Opening Reception: 5:30 – 9 p.m.,
Saturday, April 17, 2010.
The
Third Exhibit, ICM 2010, will be held from
June
19, 2010 through September 4, 2010.
Opening Reception: 5:30 – 9 p.m., Saturday, June19, 2010.
The artwork(s) should be those that appeared in the 2010 book, or similar, if the exact piece(s) are
not available. Each artist is limited to no more than 3 works. Despina Tunberg is the curator of these exhibitions, so
if the works in the book are not available, she will select others.
All works must be original. No Giclees please.
Sizes:
Paintings no larger than 60” by 72”(150 x 183 cm);
Sculpture not to exceed 78” x 48” ( 200 x
120 cm.); Max. weight 150 lb. (70 kilos).
Art must be properly labeled on the back of each work. Artist name, title
of work and medium. All work must be prepared for hanging and suitably framed or otherwise presentable for exhibit.
Donation: A $100 (USD) donation from each artist is to be used to support the Museum’s
operating expenses related to the shows.
Donation and shipping/handling charge must be made prior to shippng art.
Payment Deadline for Show #2 is March 15, 2010.
Payment Deadline for Show #3 is April 15, 2010. No exceptions.
Artists will also be responsible for their shipping costs to and from the Museum.

by Travelers Check, International Money Order or Paypal. A Paypal account has been set up for all ICM exhibits. It is located

Deadlines for Shipment of Art:
Art for the 2nd Exhibit
must arrive BETWEEN March 22 and April 7, 2010.
Art for the 3rd Exhibit must arrive
BETWEEN May 26 and June 9, 2010.
NEW SHIPPING INFORMATION: Shipping of Art Work
The Museum has contracted with a person on premises to accept and handle the
art shipments for the 2nd and 3rd Exhibits for a $35 US each way (total $70 US).
You
may use any shipper you wish to use. You need to ensure that you comply with the export and import regulations of your country.
Your shipper will know what to do. Failure to comply with the regulations may result in delays or complications. Ship your
art work to the Museum address below:

After you have contracted with your shipper / carrier please notify the
Museum by email of the Carrier's name and tracking information.
The processing and handling fee can be paid in the same manner as your Submission Donation to
the Museum (see above).

Please ship all art directly to the Museum for the second and third exhibits.
Please ensure that your packing material is
reusable, as it will be used for the return of your artwork.
Sale of Art Work:
The Museum can make arrangements for the sale of art to interested collectors and Museum visitors. All sales must go through
the Museum Gift Store in US Dollars. A 30% commission on all sales will be collected by the Museum. Artwork must remain on
display until the exhibition is over. Artists will receive the 70% balance 30 days after the close of the
exhibition. Please include the price you wish to sell your work for in U.S. Dollars.
Insurance:
The artist will be responsible for insuring their
work, if they wish, both to and from the Museum. The Museum will be responsible for insuring the artwork against any damage
incurred while under Museum care. A Museum designated appraiser will determine the value.

There are two main venues in Las Vegas; Casino Hotels onThe Strip – a 5 mile stretch
of Las Vegas Boulevard from the Mandalay Bay on the south end to the Stratosphere Hotel Casino on the north end of the Strip.
The other Hotel venue is downtown, a few miles north of the Stratosphere, centered around the Fremont St. Experience, which
is next to the Neonopolis. The Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art is located on the second level of the Neonopolis.
There are several hotels within a short walk. Of these we suggest three for your consideration. Please
contact them directly. The Museum does not handle hotel accommodations, however, please notify the Museum
if you are attending the opening night so we may include you in the opening ceremony.
