The Museum, founded in 2003, is a privately funded, non-profit organization. It moved to its current
location in the Neonopolis in 2008 and presently features over 20,000 square feet of exhibit area, with a main gallery, a
special exhibitions gallery, and a small works gallery. The SNMFA Emporium provides exhibit space for local, regional and
International artists to display their current work. In addition a expansion into a 10,000 sq. ft. adjacent space is planned
which will include a large exhibition gallery dedicated to large works including installation art and free-standing sculpture.
Our Mission The Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art (SNMFA) deems itself a showcase
museum dedicated to raising awareness for a range of fine art, providing an opportunity to appreciate a variety of art for
the local community and visitors to Las Vegas. The Museum strives to distinguish itself as exceptional by providing intellectual
excellence and leadership with respect to the visual arts. Our goal is to promote an understanding and appreciation of art
by making accessible to the public fine art exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural events designed to enhance the
quality of life for the community.
